As others before have said, the band was tight and John was absolutely terrific - definitely the best yet. Loved the new songs too....bit of a soft, smooth, jazzy feel. The venue was a lovely alternative to the dirty, sticky, dingy Carling/O2 Jo's gaff is fab too.

Yes, disappointing turn-out at a home fixture. Were Gary and I the only Shacknetters there ? John was in stunning form and so obviously happy and enjoying himself. He's just too good to miss these days.

I had a really creamy, tasty latte from Subway of all places

I couldn't eat "posh" food every day.....I'd lose my appreciation of it. There's nothing nicer than treating yourself to good food though. I can't afford the best car or the best house or the best clothes, but on occasion I CAN afford the best food. I'm glad I don't live too near a Waitrose though, I'd be constantly skint. Bon appetits mes amis.
