  1. How the fuck do you edit your profile?

  2. Have you changed your forum skin Ritchie?

  3. think that`s a given mike, just spoke to john before and as it stands, he is on alone! Doh! the one time I make a determined effort to go, was taking Mrs Go-Between, baby sitter all sorted. I'm sure he'll be great on his own but I was really looking forward to hear the full band and hear for myself what you've all been raving about. Who's Alan Irvine??? and why is he ruining my night out??!! He played for Everton but left just before a short period of success. Now manager at Preston.
  4. The good thing is John at least, is playing fairly regularly and we have the Bluecoat to look forward to. I can't say enough just how fucking good that set was on Saturday night.
  5. Was very worried when we walked in there and there were about 20 people, but it did fill out a bit more. The set was absolutely stunning, I think the Casa was the only time i've enjoyed a Shack related gig more. The changes he's made to his sound aren't enormous but fuck me they work. The sound really compliments his voice and arrangements, which i've always felt are a lot softer and gentler than Micks. New Day is a revelation. Don't mind admitting i've never been a fan of it, but it's was brilliant last night. Anyone know Noel's number cos someone's GOT to put this music out. Whip round anyone?
  6. Evening all, just back from the gig. Not the best turn out, about 60 odd I think, but they were very vocal. Set list was 1967 Butterfly New Day Metro Willow Loaded Man Too Late For Me Now Miles Apart Cornish Town Encore Carousel Carnival 1967 Absolutely friggin awesome set, the new band seems to bring something to John's songs that make a hell of a difference. Loaded Man has taken on a new life, stunning version of it. Carnival is now my new favourite song, although Metro is cutting it close. If anyone knows who won Britain's Got Talent can you let John know. None musical highlight. The bloke in the jarg Pale Fountains t shirt who was shouting for Carousel. John requested £15 in royalties for the t shirt, then spotted it was a blag one and reduced it to 75p when the bloke said it only cost him two quid. Good to see the horn player is still air guitaring it. Those who haven't seen the new John Head band are in for a real treat when they do, best money you'll spend this year. As someone else (Gav?) said, if you've any doubts about John's songs, this will settle them. Stunning, just stunning.
  7. Cheers Steve, sounds cracking that. The turn out was criminal though.
  8. They're on about 8.30-9. It's Timo, John and Si. P.S. As I'm sure some of you already know, I'm Mick and John's sister Joanne, and It's my bar John's playing at tonight. it's hopefully gonna be the first, (or second including Paddy's night) of many acoustic nights here, to include John, Mick and many other local artists. Would be great to see the Shacknet peeps down there, have met a few along the way at various gigs, a good bunch! Jo x x Was it you that sang with Mick at the Liverpool music week thing at the Academy a couple of years ago? You did Daniella? What a voice you have, thanks for a great memory! Hope it goes well and the place is packed. And the Casa gig too. I believe I bored the arse off you for a while after that gig gary thats prime for a geoffin but i`m far too polite, welcome jo......... Don't even think about it... hang on, aren't you on holiday?

That's a bit optimistic isn't it Steve? I'm his only customer, it's the least he can do. I'm still waiting for the last Mocha I ordered.

  14. Hope my source doesn't mind this, just the one track in celebration of a fucking awsome comeback last night Liverpool Royal Court 1986, supporting The Fall Apologies about the quality, it was one of my first attempts at converting a tape, wouldn't mind having another go if the source wants to pass the tape back.
