  1. think that`s a given mike, just spoke to john before and as it stands, he is on alone! Doh! the one time I make a determined effort to go, was taking Mrs Go-Between, baby sitter all sorted. I'm sure he'll be great on his own but I was really looking forward to hear the full band and hear for myself what you've all been raving about. Who's Andy Irvine??? and why is he ruining my night out??!!
  2. Crucial question, is there a bar???
  3. I think your right Mike and I'm one of the worst offenders. It takes me 10 mins to get into town, so theirs no excuse really. Especially when Gordon, SLY, Steve & Ann etc make such a special effort. I missed the last Liverpool Shack gig but drove to Stoke to watch them! I dunno.... I'm a notorious no-show, did the same when the Go-Betweens played Manchester, next thing you know Grants dead and that was that. I must try harder in future! Its true that you never appreciate whats on your own front door step.
  4. Sorry I didnt make it. Had every intention but went to family BBQ in the afternoon and one beer turned into many more....... Wish I'd gonre the gig, feel sick as a pike now.
  5. How'd it go then? Quite curious about Gary Dalys new stuff, the music on his myspace is lovely.
  6. Weird when he was in Electronic he played loads of guitar. I think Barney Sumner was a bit disappointed in that, thought Karl was going to get the old knitting needles and electro drums out. 'Raise the pressure' is not a bad record though, 'for you' possibly Johnny Marrs finest post Smiths guitar line? 'Spitting Venom,' on the latest Modest Mouse album'd give it a run for it's money. There's a few cracking bits of guitar on there actually. I like the riff on 'dashboard' as well.

  8. Little name blog Is Bunny Lee's girlfriend by any chance????!!!!!!
  9. He's got you to thank for that, nice one. He's also doing an acoustic set for the Dave Monks show on Radio Merseyside.
  10. My mate Lee (Little Name) has now had his record released: Little Name on Sleepy Records
  11. It is, it is. Funny how you can link songs to different relationships. Whenever I hear The Lotus Eaters 'first picture of you' I am transported back to 1982(?) and my first love. I bumped into her in a shop a few months ago and as soon as I saw after all those years that song filled my head, I wonder if it did for her, guess I should of asked her.....
  12. I like this song. Heres the tab for all you pickers out there: Tomorrow Cmaj A#maj Fmaj Cmaj i do not know what i am doing here tonight and the end is Amin Dmaj7 Dm7 Amin all in the dark can you light me? Chord Finder
  13. Its a great song but what strikes me about this is the presence of the band, awesome confidence, just cant stop watching them. The singer reminds a bit of David Byrne in this .
  14. Here you are kids, this is how its done:
  15. Robbie Roberstson - Somewhere down the crazy river Ahh this takes me back a few years.........
