Enjoyed The Sand Band at Mojo the other night shame about some of the knobheads in the crowd...
Good to hear them play a great version of 'Something Like You' and then as if by magic in walked John Head. Bizarre.

Was gutted I missed that, so was buzzin' when they finished their set with it tonight!

Like the Strands, their music strikes a chord with me for the atmosphere of it all, takes me away to another place, beautiful stuff.

Delta Maid was class as well tonight, catchy as anything, and not bad on the eye either!

Think Dave Monks said her sessions aired 1st May, Sand Band's will be 29th May or something like that.

That.

Their debut is one probably the best music I've heard for ages.

*bump* Did anyone go to the trouble of recording this session? I'm particularly interested in the cover of Something Like You. The Sand Band's soundcloud page has a great cover of Maps (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) from one of their radio merseyside sessions.

Cheers guys,

Mark
