Did they record the session for Radio Merseyside? Any idea when it's going out?

Stuck in Egypt, cant wait to get home and have a listen
Wasn't that Mick's first band?

Lawks. Memories there of seeing Mick in 'Egypt for Now', at Brady's in Liverpool, circa September 1980. 'Opening for' appalling Punk band 'Unoccupied Europe'. Attendance: 20 or so, if I am being charitable.

Looking forward to hearing this on Sunday. I'm really hoping this session's being played with a view to promoting the album release. If I hold my breath much longer I'll be turning blue man. Still, there's the new Aviator album due out on Viper in June at least and if it's even half as good as the first one I'll be made up. Huxley Pig Part 1 is right up there with the Shack albums for me.

Has anyone any news on the Red Elastic Band LP then?

Listening to Mick's magical material at the mo to help build up the anticipation, if any where needed that is. Looking very much forward to hearing the sesh on Dave Monks' show. 20-odd minutes and counting. Better give my Dad a ring and tell him to stop watching his Antiques Roadhsow boxset and to turn on, tune in, drop out :)

Ok here it is in full. The clicking must've been a fault in the online transmission and unfortunately it's also on the recording. I'll wait until it's out on iplayer and make a proper recording of it for download then.

Is it me but his singing voice sounds younger? Almost like PFs. Maybe it's AD's trumpet playing just taking me back.
Get the lp out please!

Nice one for recording this.
I actually listened to last week's show on iPlayer and had to turn it off because of the clicking. Reckon it'll be the same this time.

Love what Mick says about dreams being an inspiration. It's the same to all us craftpersons of musical instruments and that's where the roots and ideas are to behold and given. Dad also says that watching Antiques Roadshow also puts him into a dream state. I just thing that's his temazepam. Looking forward to more new and unheard gems unkown to the human race at this mo by Mick. The msucial future is beautiful... I'd hate to be a connoisseur of Coldplay anyway.
