bought so many albums lately, but on spin this week has been the new ones by edwyn, peace, british sea power, beth orton, I am kloot, foals, selecter, steve mason and palma violets.

Saw him in a wee venue in Amsterdam a couple of years back Matt. His band were outstanding.

Not so much an album, but more of a compilation mix of Max Richter that a friend has recently given me. It's modern day classical music, and this is an unbelievably clever mix that has put some Dinah Washington vocals to one of his pieces....seriously good...

Been listening to this as well, its really good, I like him when he has a harder edge, having said that 'invisible' is the stand out track for me, although his bleakness is as usual brilliant "It ain't the future that Kennedy promised me / In the 21st century"

Left of the Dial, Kiss Me On The Bus, Swinging Party, Little Mascara, Bastards of Young and Here Comes a Regular, I can think of plenty of artists that would have been happy to have written even one of those songs, let alone to have them all on one album...sometimes quality control can be set to genius....
