Mick spoke in a recent interview about a fantastic early version of "Hey Mama" which got lost. I'm not sure if this is the one he was referring to but it's a great monitor mix recorded at Chapel Studios in Lincoln and gives a bit of a faders-up insight into Waterpistol overdubs.

You're right G, it does have a haunting sound. I like the way Mick's voice is quite low in the mix in the first verse and sounds like some sort of accompanying wind instrument. And the trumps and squiggles of noise towards the end and what sounds like tuning a radio. I love all that sort of stuff.

Nice one Matt. Enjoyed that. Thats the 3rd track of Monitor Mixes I think. How many more can we look forward to?? Whets the appetite until official product surfaces.... ...or doesnt Doh!

I always felt like the version on Waterpistol was incomplete, especially with the chorus
